Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply to all visitors and users of the Upbeet Nutrition & Dietetics website, online booking portal, and associated digital content. By accessing or using this website, you agree to the terms outlined below. These terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Service Agreement, both of which form part of our broader framework for working together.‍ ‍

1. About This Website

This website is operated by Upbeet Nutrition & Dietetics (ABN 83 561 070 852), a private dietetic practice based in The Hills, Sydney, NSW, providing specialist nutrition services with a focus on oncology and gastrointestinal nutrition. The information on this website is intended for general informational purposes and to support people in accessing our services — it does not constitute personalised medical or dietetic advice, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for a consultation with a qualified health professional.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 000 immediately.

2. Use of This Website

You're welcome to browse and use this website for its intended purpose — learning about our services, making or managing appointments, submitting referrals, and accessing practice information. We ask that you use it lawfully and respectfully, and that you don't attempt to interfere with its operation, access it in ways that aren't intended, or use it to distribute unsolicited or harmful content. Content on this website — including text, images, resources, and downloadable materials — is the intellectual property of Upbeet Nutrition & Dietetics and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without prior written permission. Where content is shared for personal or educational purposes, appropriate attribution is appreciated.

3. Health Information and Disclaimer

The nutrition and health information published on this website reflects current evidence at the time of writing and is intended as general guidance only. Individual needs vary significantly — particularly in the context of cancer, gastrointestinal conditions, and complex medical histories — and nothing here should replace the advice of your treating dietitian, specialist, or GP. Upbeet Nutrition & Dietetics takes care to ensure the accuracy of the information published here, but we cannot guarantee it is complete, current, or applicable to your specific situation. We are not liable for any loss, harm, or adverse outcome arising from reliance on content found on this website without first seeking personalised clinical advice.

4. Appointments and Cancellation

Appointments can be made through our online booking portal, by submitting a request via our enquiry form, or through a health professional referral. Once an appointment is confirmed, it is reserved specifically for you — and when plans need to change, we genuinely appreciate as much notice as possible so that time can be offered to another patient who may be waiting for care. We understand that health doesn't follow a schedule, and our approach to cancellations is always considered on a case-by-case basis... particularly for clients navigating active treatment or unpredictable symptoms. That said, late cancellations and missed appointments without notice are taken seriously, and a fee may apply. For appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or where no contact is made and the appointment is not attended, a cancellation or non-attendance fee may be charged at the practice's discretion.

Full details on fees and payment terms are outlined in our Service Agreement.

5. Online Payments and Billing

Upbeet Nutrition & Dietetics uses Tyro Health and Splose to process payments, facilitate on-the-spot private health insurance claiming, and process Medicare rebates where applicable. Payment transactions are processed securely by these providers in accordance with their own privacy and security frameworks, and Upbeet Nutrition & Dietetics does not store card details directly. It is your responsibility to verify your private health fund or Medicare eligibility prior to your appointment. While we're happy to assist where we can, we cannot guarantee rebate outcomes on your behalf.

6. Telehealth Services

Where services are delivered via telehealth, Microsoft Teams is used as our primary platform. Telehealth consultations are subject to the same professional standards as in-person appointments, and all the same terms — including confidentiality, consent, and payment — apply. You are responsible for ensuring you have a private environment and a stable connection for your session. Some clinical assessments may not be possible to complete remotely, and your dietitian will advise you if an in-person appointment is more appropriate.

7. Referrals

Health professionals may submit referrals via our online referral form. By submitting a referral, you confirm that the patient has provided consent for their details to be shared with Upbeet Nutrition & Dietetics for the purposes of arranging a dietetic consultation. Information submitted through the referral form is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. For urgent referrals, please contact us directly by phone or email rather than relying on the online form alone.

8. Social Media

Upbeet Nutrition & Dietetics maintains a presence on social media platforms including Instagram and Facebook. Content shared on these platforms is intended for general information, education, and community engagement — it does not constitute personalised dietetic advice, and engagement with our social media content does not establish a clinical relationship. Comments, direct messages, or other communications via social media are not a confidential channel and should not be used to share personal health information. If you have a clinical question or concern, please contact us directly via phone or email, or raise it with your dietitian at your next appointment. We welcome respectful engagement on our social media pages and reserve the right to moderate or remove content that is harmful, misleading, abusive, or otherwise inconsistent with a safe and supportive community environment.

This website may contain links to external websites — including health resources, funding bodies, and professional organisations — that we believe may be useful.
