My Story
Hi, I'm Rachel, an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a special interest in oncology nutrition and a deep respect for the people I work with.
Chances are someone on your care team pointed you this way — and if so, you're probably already juggling quite a bit. Or maybe you've been searching for answers and landed here through the noise of conflicting nutrition advice online. Either way, my job is to make nutrition the straightforward part, working alongside your team to find an approach that genuinely supports you through treatment, recovery, and beyond.
Over the past decade, I’ve supported clients through every stage of cancer care — from diagnosis and treatment to recovery and survivorship — across public hospitals, private clinics, and multidisciplinary teams. I’ve seen the courage it takes to keep showing up through rounds of chemo, radiation and surgery, and I never take that strength for granted.
My approach is grounded in evidence but always shaped by you.
There’s no one-size-fits-all way to eat well — especially when you’re dealing with side effects like nausea or taste changes, or just not feeling like yourself.
Together, we’ll explore realistic, achievable strategies that fit into your world right now and make eating feel manageable again.
I see food as so much more than fuel — it’s comfort, connection, and part of how we find joy, even in hard seasons.
My aim is to help you nourish your body and your spirit, to restore a sense of trust in what you eat, and to help you feel confident that your nutrition is working for you, not against you.
Professionally, I’m curious and thorough — I like to ask questions, explore new research, and stay up to date with what can genuinely help my clients. My background includes oncology, gastroenterology, surgical, and critical care nutrition, and I’ve led projects improving how we identify and support people at risk of malnutrition. I also teach and mentor other dietitians, helping build confidence and skill in cancer care.
But what matters most to me isn’t just the science — it’s connection. Every person I work with brings a story, and being part of that story is what keeps me passionate about this work. I’m continually humbled by the resilience I see every day, and I’m grateful to play a small role in helping people feel stronger, nourished, and supported as they navigate treatment and beyond.
If you’re feeling unsure where to start or just want someone to help you make sense of your nutrition right now, I’d love to meet you.
Together, we’ll find a way forward that feels clear, achievable, and right for you.
My goal is to provide compassionate, client-centred care that's genuinely tailored to where you are right now — because no two people, diagnoses, or journeys look the same.
