Oncology Nutrition & Cancer Care
Good nutrition plays a vital role throughout cancer care. It supports treatment tolerance, reduces side effects, and helps preserve strength, energy, and quality of life.
At Upbeet Nutrition & Dietetics, we provide compassionate, evidence-based oncology nutrition care tailored to your unique diagnosis, treatment, and goals — before, during, and after treatment.
Why Nutrition
Matters
Cancer and its treatments can affect metabolism, appetite, digestion, taste, weight and our body composition.
Early and consistent dietitian support helps you:
Maintain muscle mass and strength
Improve tolerance to chemotherapy or radiation
Manage side effects such as nausea, taste changes, or swallowing pain
Support immune function and recovery
Reduce unplanned hospitalisations and treatment interruptions
Evidence shows: Early nutrition intervention improves outcomes and enhances quality of life during and post treatment.

When to See a
Dietitian
Nutrition care is valuable at every stage of your cancer journey:
Before Treatment: Preparing your body, maintaining reserves, and planning for side effects.
During Treatment: Managing side effects such as appetite loss (or increases!), nausea, taste changes, fatigue, and weight or muscle changes.
After Treatment: Rebuilding strength, transitioning back to whole foods, and restoring confidence with eating.
Survivorship: Supporting long-term health, gut function, and body composition recovery.
Palliative / Supportive Care: Comfort, dignity, and symptom-focused nutrition.
My Approach
Combining many years of clinical experience in cancer care with warmth and practicality, providing support that’s:

Collaborative: I work alongside your oncologist, nursing, allied health, GP and wider care team.
Compassionate: I focus on achievable steps, not perfection — meeting you where you are.
